The Omwana House

The Omwana
Baby House

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.”   2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Nestled among the banana plantation at the top of the Katyazo School property, the Omwana House is a peaceful sanctuary for those who need it most. The Omwana House exists to save the lives of innocent babies, provide a loving and nurturing house, model and teach that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and to place the children in a PCM school when they reach school age.

Whether the children at the Omwana House were orphaned at birth or faced with the trauma of abuse and neglect, they arrive in need of love and parental care. The staff of amazing nannies pour out their lives for the children who call the Omwana House home. Their attention to the needs of the babies and toddlers is truly the Father’s love in action.

At the Omwana House the babies are provided with nutritious meals that help their bodies to heal and grow stronger with each passing day. Love and laughter fill the walls of the house and spill over on to the playground right outside the front door.

The Omwana House provides the safety and security that every child needs to thrive. Bath time at the Omwana House is pretty lively! We are thankful for the way that the Lord continues to meet the needs of the babies that He brings here through generous supporters like you!
